Juliet Dunn

Fashion Moment of this week has to be buying an embroidered silk coat from Juliet Dunn. I have always loved Juliet's summer designer resort collection that is hotter than a sunbed at Club 55 on the beaches in the style poseur resorts like St Trop. But I want to wear her silk coat, inspired by traditional Bhuj outfits, right NOW with jeans during the day or over a simple black shift dress with high heels in the evening. I have bought mine in emerald, purple and gold but every coat is different using vintage Indian silks so everyone is original. like couture. Price from Juliet (contact 0207 5841059) is £120, a bargain for a one-off coat. Happy Christmas to me...

And Fashion Moanment has to be Kate Middleton being berated for wearing Reis and Whistles in her portraits with Mario Testino. I think that she was extremely wise to select simply pieces that she is clearly comfortably chic in and that do not SCREAM designer label. That is, you look at her not the clothes. It'll be hard for her to resist all the exclusive extravagant creations that will be thrown at her to wear - and most for free - but so far she seems to be maintaining her own simple chic. Long may it reign...
