Just brushing off the dust, literally, from shooting the Earl of Shaftesbury, his wife Dinah and their 3 month old baby, Anthony, featured in Hello, this week. We shot in Wimbourne, Dorset on their 5,500 acre country estate - ironically just up the road from where my great grand parents lived in Gussage All Saints.

The 360 year old house is a beautiful, crumbling location. No one has lived their since the great grandfather of Nick Ashley-Cooper, the Earl of Shaftesbury, 60 years ago. Hence, more dust and cobwebs than at Mrs Havesham's.

We scrambled between leaning piles of old books and dodged rolls of moth-eaten carpets. The silk wallpaper is pealing in most places and ancient former Earls frown down from their portraits. However, it has be one of my favourite locations, way preferable to many a contemporary mansions that is so perfect that you have to take your shoes off and replump the cushions. Nick and Dinah are restoring one wing and breathing new life into the old house without ruining its character. Or turning it into a hotel, golf club or reality tv make-over. They are also opening up the grounds for a half marathon in June to raise money for three charities. So, I'm going back with trainers instead of Laboutins.

For the shoot, Dinah looked beautiful in etheral gowns that suited the faded grandeur and I loved Nick's take on landed gentry style - Favourbrook velvet jackets and jeans. Baby Anthony was adorable, especially in Stellina Baby cashmere leggings with Barbour jacket.
